Cool Fourth of July Fun in Chicago

The 4th of July Weekend is upon us! It’s forcasted to be a scorcher, so make sure you have all your cooling equipment properly maintained so your event will run without a hitch! Chicago is the perfect place to celebrate the Fourth of July!

The Taste of Chicago in Grant Park will be in full swing through July 3rd. This giant festival of food and fun is one of Chicago’s most anticipated summer events! The Taste of Chicago provides a plethora of food choices and a myriad of great entertainment to millions of revelers each year. Be sure to check out this amazing FREE event!


Don’t miss the Fourth of July Fireworks at Navy Pier on July 4th at 9:00 PM. Navy Pier will be providing an amazing fireworks display with a full musical backdrop. Navy Pier also offers fireworks throughout the summer months. Navy Pier fireworks schedule.

Later in the Month don’t miss Old St. Pat’s World’s Largest Block Party on July 15th and 16th. The Old St. Pat’s World’s Largest Block Party features a variety of musical and epicurean delights. This year Cobra Starship, Plain White T’s, Matt Nathanson, and Bare Naked Ladies will be on hand to serenade you! It’s also known as a gigantic singles party. It’s said that Old St. Pat’s claims over 70 couples have met at the block party and subsequently found wedded bliss.

Finally there’s  Jammin’ at the Zoo on July 22nd.  Lincoln Park Zoo plays host to three summer concerts each year. The popular Jammin’ at the Zoo concert series takes place in June, July, and August. July’s concert is Sugar Ray with Bronze Radio Return. Don’t miss the sounds amongst the flora and fauna.
